The Moto3™ World Champion Maverick Viñales admits he is in talks with Suzuki to ride for them in MotoGP™ in 2015, but states that he could also remain in the intermediate class next year.
The puzzle of the 2015 MotoGP grid is slowly coming together and after Aleix Espargaro publically acknowledged on Thursday at Indianapolis that he is talking with Suzuki and hopes to finalise an agreement with them for 2015 in the coming weeks, his compatriot Viñales has also admitted he is weighing up a potential ride with the returning Japanese factory.
Paginas Amarillas HP 40 rider Viñales stated, "We still don’t know 100% what we’ll do next year, we are assessing the options. It is clear that Suzuki is a very good option, but we also have the possibility of remaining in Moto2, which in theory would be the most logical.”
On whether the move to Suzuki is likely he expanded, “Well, we have to see if everything fits. In the end, I have to see if I'm ready or not and see if I continue having a good season in Moto2. We need to see how the championship goes between now and the end of season.”
