Iannone frustrated to finish eighth

Pramac Racing’s Andrea Iannone was frustrated to finish in eighth place on Sunday at the Hertz British Grand Prix.

Having qualified in tenth the Italian rider made good start to the MotoGP™ race which allowed him to gain a couple of positions. After some spectacular overtaking he moved up to sixth place, a position that he held until the 15th lap. Forced to slow down by tyre wear Iannone later gave up two positions and finished in eighth position.

From the morning Warm Up Iannone did not have a good feeling with the bike, and felt that tyre degradation had cost him positions in the final laps.

He commented, "It was a tough day, since the Warm Up I had no feeling with the bike and I thought I could have done better. I am very disappointed with this result, unfortunately I struggled a lot. I could not brake hard and put the bike in the corners. After a few laps I lost all of my grip in both entering and exiting the corners, making riding the bike even more difficult. I gave my best from the start of the weekend and we hope to improve the result at Misano.”
