MCN: ‘Edwards set for Yamaha testing role’

Having only just retired from racing, Colin Edwards is soon set to get back to action as Yamaha’s official MotoGP™ test rider, according to Motorcycle News (MCN).

As MCN’s Matthew Birt explains, 40-year-old Edwards will take on the specific responsibility of developing the YZR-M1 around the new Michelin tyres, which will grace the premier class grid from the start of 2016.

The article goes on to explain that the ‘Texas Tornado’ has been linked with a prominent role in Michelin’s tyre testing schedule over recent months, having previously tested for the French manufacturer in both the Eni FIM Superbike World Championship and in MotoGP™.
