Important weekend for NGM Forward Racing

The NGM Forward Racing Team arrive at the Misano circuit for the Gran Premio TIM di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini ready for a busy race weekend.

Alex de Angelis, who represents San Marino in the premier class, looks forward to racing again at Misano, one of his favourite tracks. Having ridden in Moto2™ in the first half of 2014, De Angelis is back in MotoGP™ following the mid season retirement of Colin Edwards.

After having gained his first MotoGP point of the season at Silverstone, De Angelis is confident of making another step forward in his third race on board the Forward Yamaha. In what is also a home round for his team his aim is to reduce the gap to the front riders and to keep improving his results.

De Angelis commented, “Misano is a special weekend because it’s my home GP and there are always many friends and fans to support me. Moreover I like the layout of the track a lot so I hope that these two things combined together will give me an extra boost. This year it will be even better as I will compete in MotoGP, so I’m very excited.”

His teammate Aleix Espargaro is optimistic for Misano, a shorter racetrack which he believes will suit the characteristics of his machine. After having suffered at Silverstone in terms of top speed, the Spaniard looks forward to racing in Italy and getting a good result.

Espargaro stated, “I’m confident for Misano, the track is small and technical and I think it suits our bike. There are strong braking and acceleration points and I think we can do well. I look forward to getting a good result. We are sixth in the championship and I would like to consolidate and try to improve this position.”
