Ahead of the season finale at the Gran Premio Generali de la Comunitat Valenciana, Moto2™ rider Sandro Cortese has signed a new contract with the Dynavolt Intact GP team for 2015.
The 24 year-old will therefore continue riding for the squad next year having first joined them when the team was set up at the end of the 2012 season.
Cortese moved up to Moto2 for the 2013 season as the reigning Moto3™ World Champion and has gathered experience over the last two years with the Dynavolt Intact GP team.
With one race left this season Cortese occupies eighth position in the standings and in the third year of working together in 2015 he and his team will look to further raise the bar.
Cortese commented, “Of course I am thrilled that we were able to confirm the third year, now officially. So far we have achieved a lot. We started from scratch when the team was founded at the end of 2012. Meanwhile, we were able to establish ourselves among the top 10. We knew from beginning that the first year would be difficult. In the second year, we wanted to achieve as many top 10 places as possible and one or more podiums. Sure, it could have been a few more podiums, but we have learned a lot this season. In 2015, we want to try to finish close to the top in every race. The goal is to be part of the top five and to get on the podium several times. In the third year of course we are also aiming for wins.”
