Krummenacher top as conditions improve towards the end of Jerez test

On the final day of this week’s Moto2™ test at Jerez it was Randy Krummenacher (JiR Moto2) who registered the fastest time towards the end of another workout affected by intermittent rain.

In the final hour of the test the riders who had remained on track were able to improve the pace somewhat, with Krummenacher top courtesy of a 1’47.115 lap, followed by Dynavolt Intact GP’s Sandro Cortese and Idemitsu Team Asia’s Azlan Shah.

None of the riders were able to get near the 1’42.858 time set by Johann Zarco (Ajo Motorsport) on Wednesday in dry conditions.

Zarco was sixth fastest on the final day behind Takaaki Nakagami (Idemitsu Team Asia) and Thitipong Warokorn (APH PTT The Pizza SAG).

World Champion Tito Rabat (Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS) was seventh fastest with a 1’54.523 lap on the 58th of 67 circulations of the track – all completed before the asphalt dried somewhat late in the day. Rookie Alex Marquez (Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS) ended the day ninth, but only lapped 13 times on the final day.
