Bastianini pleased after initial contact with new Honda

As his first 2015 winter test session came to an end on Tuesday at Valencia, Enea Bastianini was pleased with the work he undertook on his new Honda NSF250RW.

After making his debut on Monday aboard the Honda Moto3™ machine which he will use next season, the second day of the test saw the 16 year-old Italian rider complete 53 laps and continuing to work on the bike set-up in order to acquire a better feeling.

The Gresini Racing Moto3 team will be back on track with Bastianini at Almeria on 24th and 25th November for another two-day test, which will be valuable for the teenage rider as he adapts his riding style to his new machinery.

The 2014 Moto3 rookie of the year said, “We’ve continued to discover this new bike, making some other changes to the set-up in an effort to improve my feeling with the bike. I can be satisfied with the work, because at the end of the day I felt really comfortable. Obviously given that so far I’ve been riding the Honda only for two days, there is still much work to do, also from the riding style side.”

“I had to change the way I ride and in the upcoming test at Almeria it will be important to improve also from this point of view.”
