Cycle World: Hayden to miss Superprestigio

2006 MotoGP™ World Champion Nicky Hayden has elected to sit out the upcoming Superprestigio dirt track event in Barcelona.

Although the American had planned to take part, the Drive M7 Aspar rider will no longer do so because of his recovering wrist. "I would have liked to do it," Hayden explained to Cycle World’s Matthew Miles. "But after my end-of-year check-up with the doctor, we decided to give my wrist some better time to recover."

With the Superprestigio having been a huge success in January, the indoor dirt track event – featuring stars from both MotoGP and from American flat track racing – will return this December to Barcelona’s Palau Sant Jordi in the city’s Olympic Park.
