Hayden and Crutchlow comment on Miller talent

Thursday, 7 August 2014

In Thursday’s press conference at the Red Bull Indianapolis Grand Prix the riders were asked about the exciting Moto3™ performances of Jack Miller and what the future might hold for the young Australian.

The likes of Repsol Honda’s World Champion Marc Marquez and Movistar Yamaha MotoGP’s former World title holders Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo were full of praise for the Red Bull KTM Ajo rider who currently leads the Moto3 standings.

Meanwhile, 2006 MotoGP World Champion Nicky Hayden and Ducati Team’s Cal Crutchlow also spoke positively about Miller, commenting on his charismatic personality as well as their hopes to see him in the MotoGP™ class in the future.

Drive M7 Apsar man Hayden said of Miller, “I like him a lot. I had the chance to ride with him last year at Rossi’s ranch on dirt and it was really fun.”

“I think his talent will only come out more on a big bike, where he has more power and can get away with more. The same way as maybe with Marc (Marquez) and Casey (Stoner) a little bit and as they say he is kind of wild, but on the track he doesn’t make many mistakes. He’s got a really bright future if he can stay healthy and keep everything together.”

Crutchlow added, “He’s a special talent on and off the bike. Hopefully soon he can start to come up and show us his true talent on a bigger bike. For sure he is going to be there. People are already comparing him to Casey but I don’t know, though for sure he is going to be a fast guy in MotoGP for years to come.”
