Miller focused on 2014 rather than future

Friday, 13 June 2014

Moto3™ World Championship leader Jack Miller has his sights set on 2014 title rather than his destination for next year and beyond.

Miller has attracted the spotlight this season thanks to his performances in the Moto3 class, with three victories at Qatar, Austin and Le Mans, plus a third place in Argentina, having made it a great start to the campaign in the opening six rounds.

The Red Bull KTM Ajo rider hopes to be back on the podium this weekend at the Gran Premi Monster Energy de Catalunya, having failed to finish the most recent round at Mugello.

Miller is fully focused on the opportunity to win the title this year, and is putting speculation over his future to one side for the moment.

He commented, “My main goal right now is to fight for the Moto3 World Championship this year. It is a challenge for which I have been working very hard and making many sacrifices in my career. KTM has given us all a great bike with which to achieve the title. I am 100% focused on it.”

“I don’t want to think about what will happen next year; I cannot afford to think about anything else other than this season. I wish this was something only spoken about after the season ends, although I know that this isn’t possible. But all that is my manager's job, not mine. I only know that I have nothing decided for next year. I have no contract for the future, so we are completely open and free to negotiate.”
