NGM Forward Racing Team look forward to round three

Tuesday, 22 April 2014

The NGM Forward Racing Team head to Argentina for the third round of the 2014 MotoGP™ World Championship with Aleix Espargaro and Colin Edwards determined to secure a decent points haul.

This weekend will see the riders take on the challenge of the Autodromo Termas de Rio Hondo as Grand Prix racing returns to South America. Inaugurated in 2008, the circuit was modernized and enlarged in 2012 with the purpose of turning it into Latin America’s most modern, safe and vibrant circuit.

After his fourth and ninth place finishes in the opening two races, Espargaro looks forward to racing at the new venue on the calendar in Argentina.

“After Texas I had some time to rest a little bit at home and now I look forward to the Argentina GP. We were not among the riders who did a test session there last year, but anyway it will be new for most of us. It will be important to try to work well during the whole weekend in order to prepare for the race in the best possible way and to get a good set up to fight with the front guys”.

Having announced that he will retire from MotoGP™ at the end of the current season, Espargaro’s teammate Edwards will be looking to bounce back from a DNF at his home round in Texas.

He kept his preview to round three succinct, saying, “I look forward to race in Argentina. I like the country very much and it’s exciting to race in a new place. We had an unlucky race in Texas, so we go to Termas de Rio Hondo to get a better result.”
