FIM CEV Repsol: Le Mans grid led by Rodrigo, Quartararo and Navarro

At the end of two qualifying practice sessions of the FIM CEV Repsol Moto3™ at the Circuit of Le Mans, Rodrigo, Quartararo and Navarro’s times put them on the  front row of tomorrow’s starting grid.

Good weather, bright sunshine and moderate temperatures produced an exciting day’s qualifying.

In the first session, María Herrera (SPA-Honda) led the ranking with a lap of 1'44:352. Just 0.051 seconds behind came Fabio Quartararo (FRA-Honda). The following positions were taken by Marcos Ramírez (SPA-KTM), Gabriel Rodrigo (SPA-KTM), Hiroki Ono (JPN-TSR Honda) and Andrea Migno (ITA-Kalex), all within one second of the session leader.

The second qualifying session was dominated this time by Gabriel Rodrigo (SPA-KTM), followed by Quartararo (FRA-Honda), who again took second position. Jorge Navarro (SPA-Ioda), Marcos Ramírez (SPA-KTM) and Andrea Migno (ITA-Kalex) complete the top five finishers. María Herrera fell without consequences.

First place on the starting grid goes to Gabriel Rodrigo (SPA-KTM), who set a best time of 1'44:146. In second position will be Fabio Quartararo (FRA-Honda), who was the second best rider in both sessions. Jorge Navarro (SPA-Ioda) closes out the front row. Championship leader María Herrera (SPA-Honda) starts in fourth position.

The Moto3 race is scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday May 17th at 16.30h.
