Yonny Hernandez and Pramac Racing Team together for 2014

Monday, 11 November 2013

Yonny Hernandez will be Andrea Iannone’s teammate in the Pramac Racing Team during the 2014 MotoGP™ season.

As of this week’s three-day MotoGP test at the Valencia circuit, the Colombian will be riding his Ducati as a fulltime team rider.

The determination exhibited by Hernandez during his time with the team as a substitute rider in the last five rounds of this year’s championship convinced Pramac and Ducati to continue the relationship with the rider.

Yonny Hernandez – Pramac Racing Team:

"I am very happy to be here today. It’s a great opportunity for me to continue with the Pramac team, and the fact that we have confirmed our partnership for another year makes me really enthusiastic. I cannot wait to get on track and try the new ‘Open’ bike, even though that won’t happen here in Valencia, and I'm also curious to try the new tyres. I am proud to be the second Latin American rider, and the first Colombian, to ride with this team in the premier class. I know that I have to work hard, but the new 'Open' category is very interesting. I really want to go out on track and start learning. I want to thank Pramac, Ducati and all those who have made this new adventure possible.”

Francesco Guidotti – Team Manager Pramac Racing Team:

“We are very happy to confirm Yonny because he immediately proved his enthusiasm for and confidence in our team and in Ducati. He has great potential but not much experience with this type of bike, and we will do everything in our power to transform his potential into good results. We know that the work that awaits us will be long and hard, but we expect to achieve success through dedication and determination.”
