AB Motoracing’s Karel Abraham ended the final MotoGP™ preseason test in Qatar as the top Open class rider, finishing in 11th overall.
The Czech rider was happy with how things went on the 2nd day of the test, before the final day was washed out: “I was really happy on Sunday as everything worked out really well, and I enjoyed riding the bike. I did a couple of laps alone, doing a great lap time, and I did a couple of laps with some other riders and it worked out so I was really happy.”
Abraham, who finished last season in 17th place in the standings, and ended up scoring points in 11 races, is eagerly anticipating the first round of the 2015 season in Qatar, “I am looking forward to get on the bike again. Hopefully it will work like it did during this test.”
The 25 year old is under no illusions about the challenge he will face at the Losail International Circuit when the lights go out, “Everybody will be doing their best, so it definitely wont be an easy fight.”
The MotoGP™ teams and riders arrive in Qatar next week, ahead of the first race of the 2015 season on 29 March.
