Pedrosa Blog: Slowly does it

Pedrosa Blog: Slowly does it

We are following the doctors’ schedule and thanks to the time in rehab I’m responding well…

In his official blog for repsol.com Dani Pedrosa keeps us up to date on how his recovery from surgery is going:

Hey everybody.

I’m writing to you again, with another clear message: each day I’m improving a little, but patience is equally as important.
This is precisely how we’re taking it now: slowly, step by step. You’ve got to let the days pass for the rehabilitation to be progressively positive.

At the moment they took out the stitches, and the rehab is going fine. We are following the doctors’ schedule and thanks to the time in rehab I’m responding well.

Question of the week:

What is the last thing that crosses your mind before concentrating on the race when you’re on the starting line? And what’s the first thing that you think about when you cross the finish line? Never give up. (From Leire_26)

Hey Leire_26.

On the starting line, I’m conscious of what is happening around me without being conscious. It’s a state of high concentration in which you think without thinking. It’s like thinking about nothing and everything at the same time. Nothing more. Pure concentration in the moment.

And once you cross the finish line… the feelings aren’t always the same, of course. There are small highs in the race that are within and they come out when crossing the line. More than thoughts, I’d say the first thing that happens is you feel a heap of emotions.

Speak to you all next week,

Dani
