 Rabat prevails in Moto2™ FP2

The Spaniard improved on his time from the first Free Practice session to keep the top spot on the time sheets.

The Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS rider shaved over 4 tenths off his FP1 time to lap Le Mans in 1.37.625. Thomas Luthi (Derendinger Racing Intewetten) came in second during the session, with Luis Salom (Páginas Amarillas HP 40) taking third.

Frenchman Johann Zarco (Ajo Motorsport) finished in 4th with a lap time of 1'37.944. That would of put him on top in FP1, but in FP2 left him 0.319 sec off the pace set by Tito Rabat.

British rider Sam Lowes (Speed Up Racing) came in 5th (+0.343).

The top 10 was completed by Álex Rins (Páginas Amarillas HP 40) in 6th, followed respectively by Julián Simón (QMMF Racing Team), Jonas Folger (AGR Team), Xavier Simeón (Federal Oil Gresini Moto2) & Franco Morbidelli (Italtrans Racing Team).

The third Free Practice session for the Moto2 riders starts on May 16 at 10:55 local time.
