Cortese: “The confidence is back!”

Cortese: “The confidence is back!”

Sandro Cortese is looking forward to the Octo British Grand Prix after rediscovering his confidence.

In Brno, Czech Republic, a fortnight ago, Sandro experienced a positive weekend with very promising practice results. In the race he finished in eighth. With this outcome, the Kalex rider improved to 14th position in the overall standings. Thus, the top 10 moved back within range. As of Friday morning, the rider of Intact GP has the chance to build on his upward trend with the beginning of the first free Moto2 practice session.

Sandro Cortese: “Brno was a very important step forward for us! Unfortunately we lost a bit in the race, but at the end it was a very positive weekend. After the races before, where things didn't go so well, Brno was a kind of a relief. Sure, it wasn't a top-5 result, but we have to build on it. Silverstone is a very fast track. Last year we were very good; unfortunately I lost a gear during the race and went wide into the gravel on the final lap. Although I didn't crash, I remained without any points. This weekend the weather should stay dry, we have a good setup at the moment and the confidence is back! So we are ready for a new challenge.”
