Marquez Blog: It’s now time for us to focus on Valencia

Everyone was able to see what happened in the race, and I’ve said everything I had to say. Right now, I’m only thinking about Valencia…

In his latest official blog for boxrepsol.com Marc looks back on the Malaysian GP:

Hi everyone,

What a demanding three weeks we’ve had, one right after another. Having three GP events in a row, with the time changes, and lots of travelling it’s all very tiring in the end. Also, these are races that force you to continuously push to the limit.

As a matter of fact, for those who are new to the paddock and have to do this for the first time, it’s very hard for them to sleep and also to acclimate due to the weather changes since they’re quite different.

As far as the Grand Prix events are concerned, I’m really happy with our performance both in Japan and Australia. The team gave its all, and we were really competitive in both circuits.

When we got to Malaysia, the truth is that we just couldn’t believe it. Everything was covered in haze! You couldn’t see the sky, and it seems that it was due to the palm tree burnings in Indonesia.

Before we fully focused on the GP, we were able to go to Kuala Lumpur shopping with the team. These kinds of “field trips” always do us well since we get to disconnect a little.

Once we were back to work and completely focused on the Grand Prix, good vibes were felt from the first day. During the whole weekend, I think we were really competitive, and we had a good pace. I also have to congratulate Dani as he raced at a spectacular pace. And, of course, for claiming victory!

Everyone was able to see what happened in the race, and I’ve said everything I had to say. Right now, I’m only thinking about Valencia, enjoying that GP, and giving you all a good race.

So this week, when I get home it’s off to training hard, which is what I like best! Being able to work alongside my brother, Alex, and focusing on some of the routines that we tend to do is what I’m mostly in the mood for now before travelling to Valencia.

Question of the week:
What’s your favourite thing about the Cheste circuit? As a spectator, despite being from Aragón and loyal to Alcañiz, it’s the circuit I like best because you can see the whole course.
Question from Mari Luz López

Hi Mari Luz,
Above all, the nicest thing about Cheste is that it’s one of the circuits of the year in which we race in front of our own fans, and that’s always special. Also, because it’s the last one of the year, the energy there is always amazing, and that’s something you notice every single day of the GP from the day you get there.

Best wishes,

Marc
