Pedrosa: “We’ve worked hard and won two races”

In recent rounds Dani Pedrosa has been the rider to beat, and he has one of the best records at the Valencia GP.

Two victories during the flyaways have catapulted Dani Pedrosa up to fourth in the MotoGP™ World Championship standings, an incredible end to what started as a difficult season. Other incidents have caused many to overlook the Repsol Honda rider but he will no doubt again be a threat for victory in Valencia. Throughout his career Pedrosa has claimed six wins in Valencia, three in the MotoGP™ class. His last win came in 2012, Pedrosa ending the 2014 edition in third. A win, or even a top three, would also grant Pedrosa his 100th MotoGP™ podium.

Maintaining his fourth place in the World Championship will be difficult, Andrea Iannone (Ducati Team) is just two points behind the Spaniard and has proven to be a podium challenger on multiple occasions. Everything is building to a stunning conclusion to the 2015 season. The final race of the year will be followed by two days of testing for 2016 on Tuesday and Wednesday after the race.

Dani Pedrosa: “It’s been a great but tiring few weeks. We’ve worked hard and won two races and this is something I couldn’t have imagined in Qatar at the beginning of the year. Now we arrive in Valencia for the final race of 2015 and it would be great to finish with another victory. I’ve had good results here in the past so I hope to be able to put on a good show in front of all the Spanish fans and fight for the win.”
