Re-live three classic end-of-season championship deciding races to get you in the mood for the epic conclusion to the 2015 MotoGP™ season.
1992 – In 1992 Mick Doohan (Honda) arrived the last race of the season at Kyalami with just a two-point advantage over Wayne Rainey (Yamaha). Doohan had enjoyed a 65-point lead after round 7 having won four of the first six races, but an injury at the following round at Assen meant he would be forced to miss 4 races. He returned for the last two rounds of the season, but was not fully fit, and it all came down to a showdown between the Australian and American at the South African GP...
2006 – In 2006 Valentino Rossi (Yamaha) arrived at the final race of the year with an eight-point advantage over closest rival Nicky Hayden (Honda). Rossi had fought back from being 51-points behind Hayden to lead heading into the final round after Hayden had crashed out of the penultimate race at Estoril. Who would come out on top in the season finale??
2013 – In 2013 Marc Marquez (Honda) had a 13-point lead over Jorge Lorenzo (Yamaha) arriving in Valencia for the final race of the year. The rookie Marquez had been 43-points ahead of Lorenzo after the Malaysian GP with just three races to go. However, Lorenzo then won at Phillip Island and Motegi, while Marquez was disqualified from the Australian GP, to set up this awesome end of season decider at Valencia.
