Enea Bastianini is excited for the 2016 Moto3™ season after completing a positive two-day private test in Valencia.
The first winter testing session of the 2016 season ended positively at Valencia for the Gresini Racing Team Moto3, which was on track for two days of testing at the Ricardo Tormo circuit with Enea Bastianini. The 17-year-old rider from Rimini had the first chance to try the new 2016 Honda NSF250RW Moto3™ machine.
Bastianini completed 117 laps over the two days, working with his technicians on several areas of the bike and getting good results, both in terms of feeling and lap times.
Having completed their testing schedule for the year, the team won’t be back on track until February, after the winter break.
Enea Bastianini: “It was a very important testing session, during which we could test the new technical parts prepared by HRC for the 2016 season: I’m satisfied because we have worked on all areas of the bike, finding different solutions that work well, both in terms of speed on a fast lap and with regard to race pace. Therefore today, in the second day of testing, we continued to evaluate them with good results. At the end of the day I also got a good lap time with the soft tyre, so I can be satisfied with how we finished the last test of the year before the winter break. To be honest I’m a little bit sad, because I always enjoy riding my bike! However, now is nice to take some rest, although I’m already looking forward to February to go back in the saddle!”
