Marquez Blog: Another year gone by, thanks!

Marquez Blog: Another year gone by, thanks!

I didn’t want to leave without answering some of the questions you’ve left me here and on social networks in the past few days…

In his last official blog for boxrepsol.com in 2015 Marc answers some fan questions:

Hi everyone,

Today, I have to say goodbye to all of you until next year. It’s been a season marked by all kinds of emotions, and I’m extremely thankful for always having you by my side all throughout.

As you know, last week we had three test days that were of great use to us. We were on the go all day every day, and we ended up with some interesting information that we could give to our colleagues at HRC.

We’ve got great potential to build on, but there’s still a lot of work ahead of us. Honda is going to be hard at work again this year, and I’m sure that we’ll make it to Sepang with a great deal of improvements.

Now, it’s time to disconnect a bit, as it always is this time of year. I didn’t want to leave without answering some of the questions you’ve left me here and on social networks in the past few days. I hope you all have a great winter and round the year off in the best way possible.

QUESTIONS OF THE WEEK

When did you decide to stick with the ant on your helmet as your definite symbol? Which race was it? From MMYUSTE93

In 2012, it was the Moto2 race at the Catalunya GP. I later decided that it could be my helmet for MotoGP.

At Christmas dinner, who do you usually eat with? From Olatz

I eat with my family at Christmas. My parents, my brother, my grandparents, my aunts and uncles, and my cousins. There are quite a few of us!

If they did a biopic about you, which actor would you want to play you and why? From Ky

Hahaha, I don’t know. I think I don’t deserve a movie but thanks for the question, it’s so funny!

Who or what would you take to an island for a great holiday? From María Tárrega

Definitely my brother, the person I know best. He’s my best friend. We could take a bike as well and a bag with everything we’d need to survive.

What stands out the most to you about your experience with the children at the Allianz Motor Camp? Did it remind you of being a kid? From Laura

It was incredible. I really wasn’t expecting it. I had a great time with the kids, and I hope to be able to do it many more times in the future. It makes you so happy to see kids from all over enjoying themselves and learning over those four days.

What is your favourite food and what did you like the least of all the things you’ve tried while travelling the world? From Cristina

I really like rice, one of my favourites is the soupy rice my mum makes.

Best wishes,
Marc
