Livio Loi completes his first test of the 2016 season, which was unfortunately interrupted by rain and a crash.
RW Racing GP and Livio Loi concluded their first test of the year at the Valencia circuit, several Moto2™ and Moto3™ teams opting to run together at this private test before the official test in early March. With a brand new 2016 Honda NSF250RW, there was plenty of work to be done and all involved used as much track time as they could. Unfortunately rain fell towards the end of the first day and a crash for the Belgian rider on the second day. The Dutch team’s next outing will be at the official IRTA test in March at Jerez.
Livio Loi: “We had much work to do. The first day we spent most of the time getting the setup and the position right. Rain interrupted the test, but we did get some reasonable laps under our belt. Today we started from scratch in trying different setups and see what happened if we changed things. It was really nothing, so we were able to move on quickly. After that I could set some quite good lap times of around 1.40,3. We’ve done a good job, I think. The feeling is good and we’re satisfied with this test.”
