With an ever-improving ankle and ever growing confidence, Jack Miller targets more points in Argentina.
After having a mixed test in Qatar due to the pain in his ankle, Jack Miller was able to salvage two points in the race and finish ahead of his teammate. The week between races has allowed the Australian to continue working on his ankle and he now has more movement and less pain. As such the ankle should present almost no issue and will allow Miller to focus entirely on improving his feeling on the bike and battling for more points. Closing in on the top ten is Miller’s aim for the weekend as he continues to adapt to life on factory machinery.
Back in 2015, Miller secured top Open Bike honours in Argentina and feels his RC213V will suit the Termas de Rio Hondo circuit. The track should also suit Miller’s aggressive style, ‘Jackass’ is not one who is afraid to let the bike slide around under him either. One issue Miller and his Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS team will have to overcome is a lack of testing data at the Argentinian circuit, but all riders face the same challenge.
Jack Miller: “I feel really positive coming to Argentina because I’ve been working really hard on my physical preparation. I was walking in the mountains for five hours and I feel already that I’ve got a lot more motion in my right ankle, which is getting better each day after my accident in January. This is a track I think that will be more suited to the Honda and I like it, so I’m here with high hopes and looking forward to putting to good use all the experience we gained in Qatar.”
