Lorenzo: “Brno is beautiful and suits the bike perfectly"

Reigning champion gears up to return to a scene of 2015 domination

Jorge Lorenzo (Movistar Yamaha MotoGP) was an unstoppable force at the Czech GP in 2015. Leading from lights to flag and leaving his rivals behind, the Yamaha rider was untouchable. 2016 has shuffled the deck, however, although Lorenzo is optimistic with his record there, and the confidence gained back in an impressive ride to P3 in the Austrian GP. The key focus, as always, is the cut the gap to the top of the table.

"We need to stay in the fight again and try to recover some more points."

Jorge Lorenzo: “We achieved a great result in Austria after a difficult period for me, so I‘m pretty happy to come back with a podium finish. I‘m happy to ride again this week at Brno in a back-to-back race. That racetrack is beautiful and it suits the YZR-M1 perfectly. I like the Brno circuit a lot because it has plenty of high-speed corners and I have good memories there. Last year we dominated the race and I hope to have good feelings there again this time round. We need to stay in the fight again and try to recover some more points for the championship as we did in Spielberg.”
