Dovizioso: "We have speed and a good feeling"

Ducati rider finished third on first day of action at Misano

With the Ducati Team having plenty of test data from the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, the circuit which hosts this weekend’s GP TIM di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini, Andrea Dovizioso confirmed the competitiveness of the Desmosedici at the track on Friday.

The Italian produced a best lap of 1'32.901 in FP2 and was one of just three riders to go under the 1'33 mark. Dovizioso finished as the best Ducati rider of the day, whilst his colleague Andrea Iannone suffered a crash in FP1 which prevented him from riding in FP2.

Andrea Dovizioso: "The day went well. I'm happy because the feelings are good and the speed is there. It is important to start on a high, so now we have to work towards the race and fine-tune some details. We need to work in this direction and see how we do tomorrow. I have quite a bit of pain but fortunately on the bike it’s not so bad. It’s worse when I walk."
