Brad Binder (Red Bull KTM Ajo) spent Free Practice 3 pounding around Misano World Circuit in a race against himself, putting in more than a handful of laps in the illustrious 1:42 bracket, with only Leopard Racing's Joan Mir able to top the South African's time.
P2 title contender Jorge Navarro (Estrella Galicia 0,0) was third fastest, ahead of 2015 Misano winner Enea Bastianini (Gresini Racing Moto3). Lorenzo Dalla Porta (Sky Racing Team VR46) had an impressive session to complete the top five, ahead of Leopard Racing's Andrea Locatelli and the second EG 0,0 bike of Aron Canet. Dalla Porta's teammate Nicolo Bulega was P8, with Red Bull KTM Ajo's Bo Bendsneyder and Niccolo Antonelli (Ongetta-Rivacold) completing the top ten.
