Kaito Toba has taken pole at MotorLand Aragon, as the Red Bull Rookies prepare for their end of season and the title fight comes to a close. Toba is currently fifth in the title, with head of the standings Ayumu Sasaki qualifying in P2 in Aragon as he closes in on the Cup win - a good margin clear of nearest challenger Aleix Viu.
Home rider Raul Fernandez was third quickest on home turf, leading a Spanish trio completed by Rufino Florido and Manuel Gonzalez in P4 and P5. Filip Salac was sixth quickest, ahead of Sasaki's closest Cup rival Aleix Viu in seventh.
Rory Skinner beat home rider Marc Garcia to qualify eighth, with Finland's Patrik Pulkkinen closing out the top ten.
The Rookies get out on track for Race 1 at MotorLand Aragon at 16:30 local time (GMT+2) on Saturday.
