Marquez top as Rins slides out

73 leads the way to qualifying with Zarco close - and title rival Rins in P20

Estrella Galicia 0,0 VDS rider Alex Marquez set Moto2™ FP3 off the a flier, before times started to better those from Friday and championship leader Johann Zarco (Ajo Motorsport) took control to better Takaaki Nakagami's (Idemitsu Honda Team Asia) best of FP2 by a tenth - but the 2014 Moto3™ world champion wasn't done there and bettered his time to take back the top spot with a 1:53.340. Zarco was demoted to second, with Federal Oil Gresini Moto2 rider Sam Lowes P3.

Jonas Folger (Dynavolt Intact GP) showed great pace in P4, with Nakagami completing the top five. The second EG 0,0 Marc VDS machine of Franco Morbidelli was sixth, with Marcel Schrotter (AGR Team), Julian Simon (QMMF Racing Team), Tom Luthi (Garage Plus Interwetten) and Misano winner Lorenzo Baldassari (Forward Racing Team) stacking up down to P10. Big news saw Paginas Amarillas HP 40 title contender Alex Rins struggle in FP3 once again as the hometown hero slipped down to P20 - and then slid out on a final flier as he lost the front into Turn 2.
