Miller: “Pretty good, considering the conditions!”

'Jackass' proves the first Honda home in Malaysia with another impressive top ten

Jack Miller (Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS) was the first Honda across the line in the Shell Malaysia Motorcycle Grand Prix, after a P14 start saw the Aussie navigate the difficult conditions to cross the line in P8. With the race start initially delayed due to the amount of water on track, conditions were still torrential as the lights went out but 'Jackass' stayed on the bike and followed up his top ten at home at Phillip Island in the dry with another – his fifth of the season – as he continues to impress in his second year in MotoGP™.

A win at the TT Circuit Assen, five top tens so far in 2016 and a career best qualifying of fifth see Miller gearing up for Valencia looking to end a great year on another high.

Jack Miller (P8): "I am always looking for more but in the conditions today I can take this result, it was pretty good considering the really tricky conditions, it wasn’t easy to stay on the bike. All weekend I had not been comfortable with our set-up in the wet so I’m reasonably happy to bring it home in the top ten and be the first Honda rider. Now it’s off to Valencia and, hopefully, a strong finish to the season.”
