Confidence-building test for Miller

Assen winner enjoys positive two-day test

Jack Miller (Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS) had a very positive final two days on track at the Circuit de la Comunitat Valenciana as the first testing for 2017 began, trying out a new chassis, along with teammate Tito Rabat, and a revised configuration of the unified software. Finding immediate improvements, the Australian put in a 1:31.477 on day one in P11, and then lowered his laptime to a 1:31.069 on day two in P12 – despite a minor crash.

Miller also had his first chance to work with Ramon Aurin, his new Crew Chief for the 2017 season.

Jack Miller (P12, day two): "During both days of the test I was enjoying riding the bike more and more each time I went out on it and that hasn't always been the case this season because we've been struggling to overcome problems and to build confidence. Such a positive test here at Valencia has allowed us to start rebuilding some of the confidence lost and it's a positive way to end the season and head into the winter break. It also provides a good base from which to work from when we return to testing in Sepang early next year."
