Redding: "It feels like my bike again"

Improved day and test in the desert for the Brit

Scott Redding (Octo Pramac Racing) ended the second day of the #QatarTest in P9 as he made a big leap up the timesheets, settling into life on the GP16 Ducati and working through some issues found at Sepang and Phillip Island. Redding, a MotoGP™ podium finisher, concentrated on front feeling and increasing a small deficit in corner speed - seeing a lot of work from previois tests start to come together.

The Octo Pramac rider set a best of 1:55.353, and did 43 laps on Day 2.

Scott Redding, P9: “It’s been really good today and yesterday was quite good for us too. I was looking for front feeling, yesterday we improved that and today was just building my confidence and the feeling with the bike. It’s starting to feel like my bike again. In the first tests I didn’t feel comfortable, I didn’t know what was happening and I was crashing a lot. Now I’m finding a direction and we seem to keep improving. Today was a good day, we made a step with the feeling in the front and improved the rear grip a bit, and turning, so I could increase my corner speed - which is something I was lacking a bit. So in general it’s been a good test. There were a few problems we had to iron out so coming here and seeing it all come together and work is really good for my confidence:”
