Redding power: Brit fourth in the Championship

Another solid top ten sees the Octo Pramac Racing rider shoot up the standings after Argentina

Scott Redding (Octo Pramac Racing) took eighth in the Gran Premio Motul de Republica Argentina, coming back from a more difficult grid position of P15 following a damp and difficult Q1 qualifying session to battle in the top ten and overtake Jack Miller (Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS) for P8.

After a similarly solid points haul in the season opener in Qatar, that leaves the Brit in fourth in the Championship – and the Octo Pramac Racing team in an equally impressive third.

Scott Redding, P8: “It was a difficult race, and I expected a bit better from myself. Mid-race is pretty much what I expected, just in the beginning I was missing the speed a bit. I couldn’t get the front tyre up to temperature and the rear wasn’t gripping like in the Warm Up. But then I felt quite good, I was able to catch Miller and the rhythm was quite ok – to come from where I did on the grid I was happy with that.”
