McPhee back on the podium trail in Germany

British Talent Team ready to roll at the Sachsenring

John McPhee was back on the podium for the British Talent Team last time out, staging a stunner to come from nineteenth on the grid to third. Now it’s the Sachsenring, another unique challenge – with McPhee looking to keep the good momentum ahead of the summer break.

Ten left-handers and three right make up the 3.7km Sachsenring, which the MotoGP™ paddock visits for the 20th consecutive time this year. With a longest straight of 700m, it provides a different challenge for the Moto3™ field.

McPhee has shown some good form at the Sachsenring in the past, including two results in the top eight – with 2017 laying great foundations for the Scot’s best result yet at the track. After a podium last time out, the stage is set for another push for the front.

Moto3™ head the line up on Friday at 9:00 (GMT +2), with the race on Sunday at 11:00.

John McPhee: "It was a great feeling to be back on the podium last time out after a tough weekend. It was nice to pay back the team with this result after all their hard work. This weekend I'm looking to continue this momentum. The weather could also be a factor again in Germany so that's something where we want to work on finding the feeling to be ready in case. With the summer break coming up next it's good to go into it on a high so I'll be pushing 100% like always."
