Fenati: “Second isn’t first - but I’m happy”

After a difficult start to the #GermanGP, Italian comes home on the podium

The start of the ninth round of the year wasn’t great for Marinelli Rivacold Snipers rider Romano Fenati, making his comeback to second place in the race feel even more special. The Italian is now planning to reset and attack in the second half of the season – with a promise to hit back in the next race when the engines fire up again at Brno on August 6th.

Romano Fenati, P2: “At the start of the weekend we had some problems, and second place wasn’t in our plan. So today I’m happy because it’s a special result. Second isn’t first for sure but I’m happy because the bike improved a lot and my team did a good job. Now it’s the summer break and we restart with another plan for the Championship, and we have to work hard and get good results. I’ll try to win all the races! Not really, but it’s important to try and stay focused, and get good results for the Championship – but for sure only one person can be first. I did try and overtake him but the rear was sliding…so next race!”
