Rins top rookie at Misano

Suzuki rider happy after taking P8 in a tough race in the rain

Alex Rins (Team Suzuki Ecstar) came home top rookie at the San Marino GP, crossing the line in eighth and staying out of trouble in a tough, rain-soaked race. Feeling he made the most of the single wet practice session – Warm Up on Sunday morning – the Spaniard felt good in the race and is happy with the result after a tough first half of the season marred by injury.

Alex Rins, P8: “I’m really happy because it was a really difficult race without good grip and sliding all the time, and there were lot of crashes today. And after one practice in the wet, just Warm Up, I was able to understand the bike and make a good setup with the team, and in the race I was feeling really really good.”
