Iannone: “I’m hoping this might be a restart”

Solid points and good progress at Aragon for the Italian

Andrea Iannone (Team Suzuki Ecstar) went straight through to Q2 at Aragon, and then had a solid race as he crossed the line in P12 for some good points. Although the position wasn’t quite what had been hoped, the progress was tangible – and the Italian says he’s hopeful it could be a restart for him and the Hamamatsu factory, having struggled less.

The team also then stayed at Aragon for some testing, with the next stop Motegi, Japan, and the first of the flyaways.

Andrea Iannone, P12: “It has not been a really positive race in terms of the final result because we came here to achieve better results. On the other hand, this weekend we struggled less than in the other recent grands prix and I hope this might be a nice restart for Suzuki, the team, and myself. The most positive aspect is that together we are looking to improve, to reduce the gap with our rivals, and solve some of our problems. I would like to thank Suzuki for their efforts and the work they are doing and I hope that within a short time we will get to where we want to be. In any case I'm happy with our performance we even with the difficulties.”
