After a long delay due to oil on track earlier, the clean-up operation then allowed a 15 minute MotoGP™ Warm Up at Motegi – with the track still wet and Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team) heading the timesheets. Aleix Espargaro (Aprilia Racing Team Gresini) was second, with Alex Rins (Team Suzuki Ecstar) just stealing third from Jorge Lorenzo (Ducati Team) at the end.
