MotoGP™ at EICMA

Rossi, Marquez, Pedrosa, Dovizioso, Lorenzo, Stoner…it’s a star-studded line up in Milan as Yamaha, Honda, Ducati and more reveal new models

It’s that time of year again – EICMA in Milan. And that means the best of street-legal two wheels (or this year, three!) all in one place, and with some incredible names on hand as the newest of the new gets revealed.

For Yamaha that meant the ‘Doctor’ was in the house, as the new and world-first Yamaha Niken – with three wheels – had Valentino Rossi (Movistar Yamaha MotoGP) on stage as it was introduced.

Honda had both Repsol Honda Team riders Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa on hand for their presentation, as well as LCR Honda's Cal Crutchlow, and reigning Champion Marquez also talked about the upcoming season finale in which he has the chance to take his sixth world title.

Ducati were another manufacturer who came out all guns blazing, with Championship challenger Andrea Dovizioso joined by five-time World Championship teammate Jorge Lorenzo on stage – as well as Danilo Petrucci (Octo Pramac Racing) and test riders Michele Pirro and MotoGP™ Legend Casey Stoner. Ducati WorldSBK rider Chaz Davies joined the MotoGP™ crew on stage, as the Borgo Panigale factory had plenty to present.

Aprilia weren’t to be left out, and Aleix Espargaro took to the stage with the Noale factory for their big reveal – with the Aprilia Racing Team Gresini rider on the road to recovery following his injury and hoping to be back on track at Valencia. His brother Pol Espargaro was another on stage, with the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing rider representing the Austrian factory at the show as their first MotoGP™ season comes to an end – following some stunning results.
