MotoGP™ teams head to Montmeló for testing

The premier class grid head to the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya to test the new layout and asphalt

There’s no respite for the MotoGP™ teams after a busy weekend at the HJC Helmets Grand Prix de France, with only Alma Pramac Racing and EG 0,0 Marc VDS absent from the testing program that takes place at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya on Tuesday and Wednesday.

10 of the 12 teams will be testing the updated layout at the penultimate corner, which has been worked on due to safety, and the new asphalt at the Circuit. However, with wet track conditions greeting the riders on Tuesday, and more rain forecast, the only teams that will be circulating today are Aprilia Racing Team Gresini, Red Bull KTM Factory Racing and Team Suzuki Ecstar – due to concessions allowing them to have unlimited test days throughout the season.

Fortunately, the forecast is expected to brighten up on Wednesday, so the rest of the teams will head out for a one-day unofficial test ahead of the Gran Premi Monster Energy de Catalunya, which starts on June 15th.
