Kornfeil leads the way in FP1

Czech rider topped the opening session of the weekend at the Gran Premio Octo di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini

Jakub Kornfeil (Redox PrustelGP) set a 1:43.526 to go quickest in FP1 at the Gran Premio Octo di San Marino e della Riviera di Rimini on his final lap, replacing second place Philipp Oettl (Sudmetal Schedl GP Racing) at the top by 0.248 seconds, with Aron Canet (Estrella Galicia 0,0) rounding out the top three as bike action gets back underway in Misano.

Fourth in Moto3™ FP1 was Championship leader and home hero Marco Bezzecchi (Redox PrustelGP), 0.490 back from his teammate, with Gabriel Rodrigo (RBA BOE Skull Rider) slotting into P5 despite a crash at the final corner early in the session – rider ok.

Niccolo Antonelli (SIC58 Squadra Corse) crashed twice in the session, with wildcard Kevin Zannoni (TM Racing Factory 3570 MTA) going down at Turn 1 after setting the fastest lap – riders ok.

The lightweight class will be back out at 13:10 local time on Friday (GMT +2).
