HJC Helmets title sponsor of the German GP in 2019 and 2020

Leading global brand to headline MotoGP™ events at the Sachsenring for two seasons

Dorna Sports is delighted to announce HJC Helmets as the title sponsor of the German Grand Prix in both 2019 and 2020, with the popular event to take place at the celebrated Sachsenring once again. The HJC Helmets Motorrad Grand Prix Deutschland will take place from the 5th to 7th July in 2019.

Founded in 1971, HJC Helmets were the first helmet company to title sponsor a MotoGP™ event, adding to a long and illustrious history in racing spanning almost 50 years. This new agreement will mark the third and fourth occasions the iconic brand will take headline billing, following the HJC Helmets Grand Prix Ceske Republiky in 2016 and the HJC Helmets Grand Prix de France in both 2017 and 2018. With a host of athletes in the Grand Prix paddock representing the brand from Moto3™ to MotoGP™, the HJC Helmets Motorrad Grand Prix Deutschland is sure to be another success for the ever-expanding archive.

Mr. W.K. Hong, Founder & CEO, HJC Helmets: “Here at HJC Helmets, we are huge fans of motorcycle racing. Between the constant sound of motorcycle engines and the race community in the paddock and the stands, nothing compares to the experience that we get at the track.  The passion in motorcycle racing is contagious, spreading from the racers, to the fans, and to the sponsors involved like our company; this is what we love to be a part of.  It is our privilege to give back to the industry through MotoGP, since the sport does so much to promote motorcycle riding around the world. We look forward to our commitment in Germany.”

Pau Serracanta, Managing Director of Dorna Sports: "We are very happy to have HJC Helmets return to title sponsor a MotoGP race weekend. After some fantastic events at Brno and Le Mans, it gives me great pleasure to see HJC take headline billing at the iconic Sachsenring and further extend our important partnership. We’re very much looking forward to building more successes together with this new agreement.”

MotoGP™ is soon heading off for Asia as the flyaways beckon, before the paddock returns to Europe for the finale and then starts gearing up for 2019 and the HJC Helmets Motorrad Grand Prix Deutschland.
