After undergoing surgery on an acromioclavicular dislocation he suffered in his Mugello crash, Ducati Team test rider Michele Pirro has been forced to sit out the Jerez Test.
The Italian was present for the Bologna factory at the Valencia Test but after the successful operation, former MotoGP™ rider Alvaro Bautista has taken over testing duties for the factory team for the two days at the Circuito de Jerez – Angel Nieto.
Pirro will now take time to recover and will be back on a Desmosedici machine in February for the premier class test at Sepang.
