LCR Honda Idemitsu’s Takaaki Nakagami topped Q1 at the Gran Premio Motul de la República Argentina to move into Q2 along with Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Pol Espargaro.
Both Team Suzuki Ecstar riders, Alex Rins and Joan Mir, failed to make it through, however, with Rins confirmed as starting sixteenth on the grid and Mir down in nineteenth.
