Profile
Cal Crutchlow won the UK Junior Challenge in 1999 and the Aprilia RS125 Challenge in 2001 and took the British Supersport Championship in 2006. In 2007 he made his debut in British Superbike, but his status in the racing world rose quickly after claiming the 2009 World Supersport title, prompting the Briton to join the World Superbike series the following year. Crutchlow was then quickly recruited for the MotoGP class, and his debut with the Monster Yamaha Tech 3 team in 2011 saw the British rider achieve a best GP career finish of 4th in Valencia and lift the Rookie of the Year title. Crutchlow remains with the Tech 3 team for 2012 at the controls of the new 1000cc Yamaha.
