Javier Forés steps into the Moto2 World Championship in 2011 with the established and highly respected Aspar Team, a structure with which he has had links throughout his career.
Winner of the 50cc Aprilia Cup in 1999, Forés was integrated into the Aspar structure the following year to compete in the Spanish 125cc Championship. His physical size soon necessitated a switch to four-stroke bikes and between 2002 and 2004 he rode in the CEV supersport category, finishing third. He went to world supersport in 2005 but experienced varying degrees of luck, returning to the CEV Stock Extreme class in 2008 and taking the title in 2010. The same season he rode three races in the CEV Moto2 championship, as well as three World Championship GPs towards the end of the campaign and in 2011 he tackles the intermediate class full time alongside Julián Simón.
