Profile
Jonas Folger enters the 2011 125 World Championship as one of the riders tipped for big things, after flashes of brilliance in his two campaigns to date. This year he rides for Aki Ajo’s prestigious set-up with the aim of pushing at the front.
Folger joined the MotoGP Academy aged just 12 and was third in the Spanish National Championship in 2006. In 2008 he gained his first World Championship experience, making six starts for the Red Bull MotoGP Academy, and in 2009 secured a full-time ride impressing with a podium finish at Le Mans and earning the Rookie of the Year title. Unable to improve on his standing of 12th overall in 2010 (when he ended the season 14th), Folger attacks the 2011 campaign with renewed enthusiasm as he seeks to unleash his full potential.
