Profile
Katsuyuki Nakasuga is a Yamaha Factory test rider competing in the 2011 All Japan Road Racing Championship in the JSB1000 class, and is currently third in the standings. He made his Grand Prix debut as a replacement rider for Jorge Lorenzo after the 2010 World Champion suffered a hand injury at Phillip Island. Nakasuga was drafted for the final two races of the MotoGP season, though only competed in the last, as the Sepang GP was cancelled when Marco Simoncelli suffered a fatal accident. The surprised Japanese rider finished 6th in the Valencian GP.
