Danny Webb, a 16 year old from the south of England, arrives in the 125cc World Championship this season as a result of his participation in the highly successful Red Bull MotoGP Academy programme. He had been pencilled in to make his World Championship debut with Repsol Honda at Catalunya last season along with compatriot Bradley Smith, but a fractured wrist sustained in a crash during a training session halted his progress. Nonetheless, the promising young rider demonstrated his potential with some good performances in the 125cc Spanish national championships, with 6th and 7th placed finishes in Cartagena and Valencia respectively, leading to a final position of 16th. His World Championship break in 2007 comes courtesy of Arie Molenaar Racing, with whom he rides alongside Dutch team-mate Joey Litjens.
