The route to the circuit from the airport is via the Tullamarine Freeway using "CityLink", through the Burnley Tunnel, onto the Monash Freeway (M1). Then follow the South Gippsland Freeway (M420) through Cranbourne and then Bass Highway (A420) to San Remo (B420), then across to Phillip Island, where the circuit is clearly signposted. Please do not forget "CityLink" is a toll road. The easiest method to pay the toll is to purchase a CityLink pass which will allow a vehicle unlimited access along CityLink on the nominated day. Hence if you are traveling to and from Phillip Island on separate days, you will be required to purchase two passes. CityLink passes may be purchased at Melbourne Airport, CityLink service centres located near the toll road or by visiting their website or contacting CityLink directly by telephone (while in Australia) on 13 26 29.
